Carlos Martinez is only 29. I would have guessed 34. Seems like he's been around forever (except when he's injured).

But he's aging faster than he should in my opinion.

I just don't think he works as hard as he needs to

Just can't trust him - he unravels.

If his slider is flat he just starts pitching BP sometimes.

Oh well. We come home tomorrow. 4 of 7 on the roadtrip. Not too awful...

But we haven't showed up against the good teams in the west.

At All.

SD and LA have clubbed the Cardinals so far this season

Madison Bumgarner threw a 7 inning complete game, a no-hitter, but only got credited with a shut out. (25 April 2021)

The league and union agreed to official seven-inning games, and one team went hitless in the official game. And even more curious, in the first game of the double header, Arizona's Zac Gallen pitched a one hit game and is officially credited with a one-hitter; Bumgarner got burned.

Unless they reverse things, I suspect Bumgarner will be credited with the no-hitter in the books with an asterisk.

as teams, the mariners, indians, and rangers must be hitting below the mendoza line. all al teams with designated hitters.

2. April 14: Carlos Rodón, Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Indians
3. May 5: John Means, Baltimore Orioles vs. Seattle Mariners
4. May 7: Wade Miley, Cincinnati Reds vs. Cleveland Indians
5. May 18: Spencer Turnbull, Detroit Tigers vs. Seattle Mariners
6. May 19: Corey Kluber, New York Yankees vs. Texas Rangers

but that will change next year when the National League adopts it.

From my perspective, all the hitting is in the National League (West). If your're looking for exciting baseball, look no further than Padres, Dodgers, and Giants games.

i like the dodgers and giants as well.

pitchers are baseball players, and if they can't at least bunt, well, no, the dh detracts from some fine points of the game.

I'll be watching, and it should prove to be a good game.

Dodgers center fielder, Cody Bellinger is totally back after his injuries. Hell, two days ago, he hit 6 RBI's in ONE game! Your Ian Anderson better not be deceived by his Mendoza line batting average of a paltry .200
