Baseball has always symbolized hope to me. Probably because it’s played in spring and summer. So I’m going with it’s a symbol of hope in the shitty year.

Must say I'm concerned about weather forecast for DC this evening, WORLD CHAMPION Nationals due to play Yanks @ 7:00, 'perfect' time for the usual summer thunderstorm in DC.

Johnny Cueto is pitted against Kershaw, and the Dodgers hit the Hell against Cueto.

The only upside is Giants' Hunter Pence will probably be the designated hitter, and he does well against Kershaw, plus his bat is totally dialed in.

On a side note: Mookie Betts signed a 12-year, $365 million extension with the Dodgers today. A cool $30 million a year!
