he hit 22 homers that year and batted .288. Yanks dumped him at the end of the year.
His career ended the next year with the Boston Braves at age 40, where he hit his final 6 HRs.
There will always be only one Babe, but as always eventually time beats us all.

the Yanks dumped him. Wouldn't even give him a chance to manage.

"He can't even manage himself. How could he ever manage a team?"
