After yet another rejection of an MLB offer by the MLBPA on Monday, news broke that MLB has decided on a tentative start date for the 2020 season.
Rob Manfred, the MLB commissioner, had an emergency call with the owners after the MLBPA rejected MLBs latest offer.
Following that meeting, the league issued a statement. It has decided to play a 60-game season if the union agrees to have their players report by July 1, and they agree on the safety and health protocols.
