Really crowd the plate. Probably get more brush back pitches and beanings from pitchers that way.

Zobrist and Caratini can draw the walk, but to allow yourself to take one for the team is true plate discipline.

When will someone be smart enough to sign Zobrist? He's the king of fundamentals. It's like having an extra coach on the team.

I just checked--He has 145 HBP at age 30 in 7 full seasons and 2 partial ones.

He is 38 years old....

But, yeah, he's been a tremendous asset to every team he's played on in the past. Maybe he could be signed as an infield coach.
