Related: About this forumJesus, Greinke is UNHITTABLE right now ...
I don't see how the Nats pull this out ... he's set to go 9 with this pitch count ... could well be one of the most legendary game 7 pitching performances in history ...
FAAAAACKKKKK ...

(33,643 posts)Wow ... Rendon has been CLUTCH ...
I think the Astros are gonna regret pulling Greinke with that low of a pitch count just cause of a small falloff in this inning against the heart of the Nats lineup.
Dude was dealing ...

(186,644 posts)I can't see his pitch count but everything was in the mid-80's. Pretty conventional move by Hitch but it didn't work out. Greinke was getting all kinds of close calls. H was dealing though. Amazing.
I figured this was going to be a long game but now we may see pitching changes galore.

(33,643 posts)With only 1 hit in the 2nd and then the HR in the 7th. Then a walk, I think only his 3rd at most of the game.
It was conventional but I don't think I'd have done it right there ...

(186,644 posts)I think he took 7 pitches to close the 1st. He was fielding really well.
That steal by Eaton (Martinez call) maybe a bigger play than we know. Yes I know he just scored but that took them out of the double play.

(186,644 posts)49 strikes. I didn't know what the PC-ST stat meant

(33,643 posts)The way he was mowing them down, at 80 pitches total ... just don't think it was wise to not at least let him finish the inning ...

(33,643 posts)Told ya ... shouldn't have pulled Greinke over one HR and one walk ... not with that low of a pitch count man ... and the way he was dealin'.

(33,643 posts)Those 3 should be the post season MVP's as a group ... I know there's no such thing and dunno who's gonna get WS MVP but damn those 3 dudes have been absolutely HUGE this post-season.
Kendrick did something with his last homer that's never been done in baseball history ...

(17,804 posts)I'm sure there was some sabermetrics reasoning behind pulling Greinke, but the whole game pivoted when the pulled him. It's like the wind was taken out of Houston's sails.
