Nats and A's with huge trade

Gio Gonzales to the Nats for AJ Cole, Brad Peacock, Tommy Milone and Derek Norris.

A J Cole is nasty, I'm fine with this except for him.

I thought they had finished rebuilding the team last year. Now it starts all over again.

2. I notice on the boards A's fans not liking this

Many Nats fans not liking it either. The A's got 4 of the top 10 Nats prospects. AJ Cole has huge potential.

3. I can understand the Nats getting another arm

while they have Strasburg. The thinking must mimic that of the Giants' -- there's a brief window of opportunity to make the most of your star pitchers until they bolt for the riches of free agency. The Nats are rolling the dice for 2012.

4. The Nats have other good

Young pitchers in their farm ( Matt Purke, Brian Goodwin)so while a little painful ( I will miss Peacock/Milone) still have plenty of prospects. This is set up for more than just 2012. Their rotation was 7th in MLB in 2011. Should be one of top ones in 2012

5. Gio Gonzalez is a big acquisition for the National. This guy is a winners...at least 15 wins.

6. We were sorry to see him leave Oakland
