1. Excellent baserunning was the topic of todays cards weekly radio show

2. Schildt (and the coaches) really improved the base running and defense this year

To an amazing degree. Part of it is personnel and knowing when and how to use them, but much of it is emphasis and focus.

Last 3 years they had anvils in their pockets and skillets in their gloves.

This year has been fun to watch - Except of course for the inconsistent pitching and roller coaster hitting.

Base running and D have been strong all season.

I wish I could watch - I'm on the road until the 21st
