Despite it's plot holes, I like Bull Durham a lot, but I don't think there's ever been a better love letter written for baseball than Field of Dreams. I'm very surprised to see 42 so far down on the list -- should be in the top ten. Moneyball skewed the real facts behind the Athletic's success and gets knocked down on my list.

Fantastic scenes and acting with a terrific ending.

I’d say The Natural and Major League after that.

Never really cared much for Field of Dreams.

League of their own would be several spots lower... but still top-10

Major League was enjoyable... but would only make my list because I don't think I could name 25 others.

The Bad News Bears would make the top 10.

Bang the Drum Slowly would also be in there.

Field of Dreams would move up to give me a Costner 1-2... with The Natural close on their heels.

I actually enjoyed The Rookie. That would also make my top 10.

9. Interesting story about Bull Durham - the Pink Floyd shirts

When they were filming it - before the season started I think- they needed crowd shots. Pink Floyd was playing a show nearby in Chapel Hill and the producers got someone in the band to announce that after the concert there would be free beer and hot dogs for anyone who showed up at the ballpark. Lots of the crowd shots feature a lot of Pink Floyd T-shirts.

BURG: The wedding scene was a night scene, and we had no money for extras. Pink Floyd was playing a concert in Chapel Hill, so we went and got the band to say, "We'll be partying after the show at the Durham Athletic Field, meet us there!" And around 11 that night thousands of people showed up in Pink Floyd T-shirts, drunk. That's how we got our extras. We just got lucky. It was that kind of movie.

turned pitcher King Kelly in It Happens Every Spring.

Fred McMurray wasn't in the movie. He was a mad professor who invented Flubber in some Disney movies, though.

12. Don't forget Rhubarb

Bull Durham is my obvious choice. That was my park and my team at the time. The Bulls have now gone all upscale, AAA and a new park, and I don't go as often.

I would be remiss not to mention Rhubarb. It is a sentimental favorite. BTW Orangey the cat who played Rhubarb was in lots of movies including Breakfast at Tiffany's.

23. The stereotypes - All the Japanese charecters

Were cardboard cut outs - The dickless ineffectual translator.

The stern wise manager.

The beautiful woman who just melts for Tom Selleck even though she's supposed to be a mature professional AND the managers daughter? My wife was yelling "Japanese women are not that slutty around their coworkers, not EVER"

All through the movie she was grumbling about little things that I barely noticed - "That's BS, Japanese players would fight if anyone did that" or "What is that guy even doing there?, doesn't he have a job?"

Yeah, she was not impressed
