The Redbirds signed a top 5 hitter, Mike Metheny is gone, Ozuna and Fowler are both healthy and if either fail to bounce back from down years, we have young outfielders in the wings.

(37,822 posts)We are going to see a lot of 'Slash and Burn' in the SF Giants Spring training camp. It's going to be sad to see a bunch of genuine, albeit 'old' Giants talent being sent down the road.

Buster ain't old and he's a stud, but there isn't a lot of young studs around him
You guys gad a hell of a run and you have smart management. If you can flip some vets for youngsters and develop some kids you should be back soon.
Not that i need to see more of you guys in the playoffs

(37,822 posts)but Hunter Pence has been the heart and soul, the glue that holds everything together. I'm afraid Hunter will be one of the first on the chopping block. I'm sad because he has always been entertaining to follow on and off the field.
