And speaking of Cardinals and free agency, you guys really dodged a bullet when the Angels got Pujols. That contract would have been an even greater albatross in St. Louis than it has been in Los Angeles.

He's only had 2 good seasons since he left - and he's never given the Angels an Albert Pujols season..
I was stationed here back In 99 and he was a big part of me becoming a Cardinals fan. (ETA - I still live here!)
His first 11 years were amazing
