As a Giants fan, I'm kind of despondent tonight.

Losing another game to the damn D-backs at home(and getting shut out for eighteen straight innings in that series so far)looks like it pretty much ends things for this season.

What the hell went wrong? Three weeks ago, they were only 1 1/2 games behind the Dodgers.

The best they can hope for now is to get a payback sweep on LA in the last three at AT&T.

What needs to happen to prevent this kind of collapse next season?

1. They need to get younger

Outfield is old...same with front line pitching.

Heyward, Upton, Alex Gordon will be out there.

A ton of front line pitching will be out there too.

I'm in IL rooting for my Cubbies....maybe it's our turn...lol.

2. It's beginning to look like it might be.

Perhaps the "Curse of the God" will finally be broken.

If Lincecum stays with SF next year, they should finally convert him permanently to a reliever. He was brilliant in that role in against Detroit in the '12 Series.

We've got goat curse breakers, everything else going on round these parts.

I think we're getting there though. The Cubs have the best crew of young position players in baseball.

How we stole Addison Russell from Billy Beane I will never figure out.

The franchise player got choked by a lunatic (Papelbon) during the game today.

And we are out of the playoffs. Any chance you guys could take Matt Williams back in some fashion?
