Related: About this forumIt's SPRING!!!
I don’t care what the calendar says; I don't care what the weatherman says; I don't care what the temperature outside is, when there's baseball, it's spring! And starting today, there's baseball.
And do I really have to say this? GO CUBS!!!!!
P.S. This is my first original post. Please let me know if it's not in the right forum. TIA.

(24,354 posts)this morning! Go Cubs indeed! I’m not 100% on board with the Justin Turner acquisition however. Oh well.

(10,847 posts)As your Cubbies were for trading Lou Brock and how classy you guys were when Darryl Kyle and Stan the Man passed. That said I spent some time in Chicago and found everybody to be delightful.
Funny story several years ago I was wearing my St. Louis Blues jersey and this guy was wearing his Chicago Cubs jersey. We both laughed a little at each other. We agreed to root for the Cubs to win the Series for the first time in over a century and the Blues to hoist the Stanley Cup for the first time ever. (2016 and 2019!)

(59,396 posts)Soto said he was upset that Aaron Judge, who always fails to deliver in the postseason, came out as a trump supporter.
Bad move in Soto's eyes. Mine too btw.

(3,705 posts)Retired Yankees Paul O'Neill and Mariano Rivera are Trump supporters. But neither Judge nor Volpe nor anyone else on the present Yankees showed any support for Trump.

(59,396 posts)that fact makes me think Soto said it.

(168 posts)I hold no ill will toward the Guardians. That was the best World Series of my lifetime. When they were down 5-0 in game seven, they didn't give up, they clawed their way back and made it an exciting game.
If the Cubs or Tigers (my second favorite team) don't make it, I hope the Guardians do.
Back in the day, tickets were very hard to get at Wrigley Field. The first day they went on sale, I would take the day off work and sit at the computer (dial-up! LOL!) from 11:00 a.m. until sometimes after midnight, getting frequently kicked offline and then watching every game I wanted get sold out. So my mother and I started going to other cities to see the Cubs. There were Cubs fans everywhere we went. The friendliest people and the warmest reception we ever got was in Cleveland!
