(61,138 posts)1. can't say about Vancouver, but my limited experience in the PNW says
that they don't use road salt much there. Vancouver probably doesn't get that much snow. It's a coastal kind of a place, like Seattle. Seattlites driving in the snow have their own YouTube videos.

But road salt is like warp speed.

Coastal cars can have rust problems. If it was garaged that helps. Coastal US cars can have rust issues also if near the ocean. The salt air is rough on surfaces.
