In town delivery

One issue with cutting carbon is intown delivery. Especially with the increase of delivery options with Amazon and the rest. Here is Munich we have several companies delivering on our street including the mail. The mail is delivered by electric tricycle with pickup point sfor them scattered around. Run by DHL which also has its own delivery trucks.

I saw this type of vehicle a few years ago at a trade fair. Today I saw this one at the MAin train station in Munich. I got there after he rolled the big box into the station and left when he was leaving some time later.
It features twin plug in batteries, twin rear wheel motors and dual disc brakes on the front, disc rear. You can see the fork lift type device for raising and lowering the box in the second picture. It took the guy about a minute to hook up and unlock his wheel before leaving. He parked off the street near bike parking.

I can see a lot of use for this type of device in tight cty quarters. Perhaps even for workers tool box carrying to the job site.
