The Blue Meanie vs The Dragon

Back in May there was a Lotus rally down in TN through the mountains. Lotus vs The Dragon. 3 days of driving through the mountains with 40+ other Lotus owners. It was nuts! I had sooooo much fun owning the twisties!

My boss took his Porsche down that road. He sold it after the pandemic though. I also have a friend with an old Lotus Europa. I don't know if it would make the trip though. I'm getting ready to sell my old 350z. I never did the Tail of the Dragon, but I drove it from Miami all the way up through New Hampshire. I took another trip up toward Asheville. It was fun driving it through the mountains. It's getting really long in the tooth now and needs restoration. It's 20 years old and has well over 200K miles. I'm going to miss it, but sometimes it's best to let things go. I can always save up and buy something else sporty to drive. Your car is beautiful! Enjoy it!

I feel your pain on getting rid of your 350. When I sold my 3000GT I’d owned for 12 years, I had a lump in my throat and wet/blurred vision watching it drive away. Crazy how much a machine can mean to a person.

but several times on motorcycles. One of my greatest memories. My den has a pic of me riding the dragon and a sign regarding the Dragon.

But super technical and usually overcrowded. The Hellbender in NC is my favorite! Just as twisty, little less technical, and sheer cliffs on one side just blasting my decat exhaust tone into the cabin for me to hear! Glorious!

“Kamala” in the classical South Asian language Sanskrit means “lotus,” a flower native to the region that's significant across many religions on the subcontinent.”
