Former Michigan coach Moore was 'suicidal' after cops were called to his executive assistant's apartment.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Sherrone Moore, the lauded head coach of University of Michigan’s storied football program, threw away his $30-million career after his affair with his assistant came to light — and culminated in his stunning arrest for alleged assault.

The 39-year-old married dad of three’s promising career came to a crashing end quickly Wednesday. He was booted as Michigan’s head coach that afternoon and, within that same hour, he was busted on criminal charges for allegedly breaking into the home of his executive assistant, Paige Shiver, with a knife in hand.

Moore — the first black head coach in Michigan history — is now cooling his heels in Washtenaw County jail on suspicion of assault charges.

“Shiver, 32, was given a 55% raise to $90,000 last year.”

Btw I feel bad for his wife and kids.

As he was working his way up the coaching ladder he wasn’t making that much money
as a G.A. or as an assistant coach @ smaller schools so no doubt his wife helped to
support him and the family. I grew up as an Ohio State fan in Columbus, both of my
parents taught there, I took some courses there, I have been friends with some of the
faculty, students, and some of the players but I take no joy in this, I wish the best for his
wife, kids, and that he gets some help.

No. He wasn't. We're he a lauded coach, I and every Michigan fan would be sad to see him go. We're not. Had the alleged incidents not happened and he were dismissed solely for football reasons, I would at best master a 'meh' and go on with my day.

So long, dummy.
