he would slide his putter into his left hand on his hip like he was putting his sword back into a scabbard.

He did a clinic nearby me. He went to the 1st tee to do demonstrations. The people all gathered around him and the 1st thing he did was to tell the grownups to move back and let the kids up front.

One thing he did, he put 2 balls on the ground and said, I am going to hook the first ball and slice the 2nd ball and they will collide in mid-air. he hit the 2 shots and they came darn close to colliding.

Back in the days when golf had a "silly season" they did a skills challenge event.
One of the skills was setting a ball up behind a tree & hit to a green bending it around the tree. If you successfully bent it around left to right, the next shot had to be bent right to left.
ChiChi won that event nearly every year.
He could hit every shot there was.
If he had been bigger & stronger, and wasn't hitting 5 iron while others were hitting 8 or 9, he would have won a ton of tournaments. He only won 8 times (plus 22 on the Senior Tour). He'd have been much more dominant if he wasn't such a little dude.
