Media Venu Sports Streaming Service to Cost $42.99 a Month
Venu Sports, the sports streaming venture from Fox, Disneys ESPN and Warner Bros. Discovery WBD will cost fans $42.99 a month, the platform announced on Thursday.
Scheduled to launch this fall, the streaming service will provide access to 14 live sports channels, airing programming from the National Football League, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and collegiate athletics.
The $42.99 price tag is significantly cheaper than the traditional cable TV bundle, which can cost north of $100 a month. It is also cheaper than YouTube TV, which costs $73 a month, but which has access to more sports programming, including from NBC and CBS.
Venu subscribers will be locked in at the $42.99-a-month rate for 12 months from when they sign up, with the ability to cancel at any time.

Greedy fucks, why is the WSJ even comparing this to regular cable and YouTube TV? Venu is strictly sports, with an outrageous price tag.
