The last time I watched baseball, Mark McGuire and Jose Canseco were playing with the Oakland A's.

I was a huge baseball fan growing up, and as a kid I loved watching Tony Kubek and Joe Garagiola on the game of the week every Saturday. And, once we got cable, even though I really wasn't a Cubs fan, summer meant Harry Caray emanating from our tv set. But, the strike of '94 soured me permanently on the game, and I never went back.

I remember some years back when the WS was going to be the Dodgers versus the Astros, and I thought "How the hell can they play each other? They're both in the same division!"

But that all went away as big money and big egos took the place of the 'home' of players you could root for year after year. There's no team loyalty anymore that I can see. Now the best teams are the ones who pay for high-dollar players.

and the way Rangers Cry-Baby Garcia and Mr. Angry Semien and their redneck antics. I'm hoping they send the Rangers home. I haven't really followed anyone in the NL so have no idea how good or bad they are but I do not like the Rangers.

I actually haven't liked the Rangers since George W Bush was part owner and the Astros traded Nolan Ryan to them back in the day.

Go D-Backs!!

I cannot get over the Rangers stench of Dubya, even after 25 years. And as for Adolis García posing at home plate and admiring his line drive off the wall - thinking it was a home run - having to stop at 1st base instead of getting a double....back in my baseball day he would have been hit by an Astros pitcher again.

I tend to go with the dog, so I'll probably be rooting for the D-backs.

We haven’t had much success in the last 20 plus years, yet I’ve stuck with them. Welcome to all the above fans for cheering on Arizona!
