When is the last time you went on a "darkness retreat"?

Well, consider joining Aaron Rodgers on his journey tomorrow. You may find it enlightening. Or just, uh, dark.

you can't put a price on mental health. Try going a night or two without your version of a "darkness retreat."

It's worth plenty!!

They have a blossoming star in Garrett Wilson. Elijah Moore was an under-utilized talent last season. Breece Hall, once he bounces back from ACL surgery, is on a trajectory to becoming a star RB and he has good hands.

The biggest question is Rodgers himself, IMO. He's 39. He's not likely to last until 45 like Brady. Maybe until 42 like Drew Brees?

and Aaron Rodgers can ride the pines

Boy howdy, the names Rodgers, Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo are churning in the rumor mill.

Rodgers is clearly the most talented. But he's 39. And he comes with an enormous salary. And he's not exactly a "team first" sort of personality. A bit of an attention monger, to say the least.

I'd prefer Garoppolo, as long as he's healthy.

And, his leadership traits right after the Gruden fiasco were exemplary.
With all that swirling around them, they made the playoffs.
Then, McDaniels came in to ruin another team. Carr got worse with the best receiver in the league? Sounds like a foundational problem to me.

I wouldn't be willing to gamble on him (or any of the trio in question) with a contract of longer than two years, preferably one. Good luck getting any of them to agree to that, however.

Word on ESPN this morning is that he's ruling out nothing if the situation is right.
But, they're also going to slow walk the process, so we'll see what happens.

Derek Carr is currently searching for a new home somewhere in the NFL. While those areas include New Orleans, New York, and possibly even Carolina, one of the interested clubs has a pitch that includes the quarterback looking beyond his playing days and ending up in Canton with a gold jacket.

The 31-year-old quarterback recently visited with the Jets, and New York apparently made a strong push to bring Carr aboard. That visit, per ESPN, went well from both sides, with the Jets selling Carr on their ready-made roster that will be able to not only contend for the playoffs upon his potential arrival in 2023 but for the Super Bowl right out of the gate. On top of pitching overall team success, this latest report notes that the Jets told Carr that they believe if he comes to their organization and wins, he could be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The Big Apple, a Lombardi Trophy, and a gold jacket?! Was the moon not available?

While Carr is a solid Pro Bowl-caliber quarterback and would certainly be an upgrade from the play New York received last year, projecting him to end up a first-ballot Hall of Famer would be a remarkable turn of events considering where he's currently at in his career. He will be 32 years old by the start of next season and is without a single playoff win. For those wondering at home, Y.A. Tittle is the only Hall of Fame quarterback since 1960 who doesn't have a playoff win.

Suspicion is the Jets are waiting to see if Rodgers is an option.
Otherwise, consensus is it's Carr they want.
