I remember when golf was quiet. Watching it was akin to taking sleeping pills.
A lot of the spectators are acting like douchebags.

(12,600 posts)I didn't hear all the details, but apparently it happened around 5 or 6, before everything started. So it probably is worse.
My wife used to work about a mile away from the Open and the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction. She dreaded working those few weeks every year.

(679 posts)Complaining about a bunch a drunks yelling at golf is far down my list of golf issues. Complaining about sportswashing the Saudi regime with the traitors on the LIV tour tops my list. Many 9/11 families feel the same way.
Also, the Masters Committee has suspended meetings since every member has gone out to look for his balls!!!!

Golf is treated stuffily enough.

(23,763 posts)One good thing about Covid: the golf matches were very quiet with no audience. Golf for most of us is a quiet sport. Hit the ball, walk to where it wound up, hit it again. Repeat.
