Seems to me like they had a few hours to BUY a dismissal out of the person he pointed the gun at. Wouldn't be the first time he has bought his way out of a sticky predicament.

The aggravated menacing charge filed against Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon has been dropped.
Friday, the charge was formally dismissed at the request of the Hamilton County prosecutor’s office.
Video obtained by WLWT’s Karin Johnson captured the process in which it is stated that the reasoning for the dismissal is because further investigation is needed. The victim still wants to pursue if they refile at a later date.
