2. I've been a National League supporter all my life, but I'm conflicted on this one

I need to see Dusty Baker grab the brass ring so he can ride into the sunset a happy man.

Say what you want about the Astros, but credit where credit is due - Dusty Baker came out of retirement, tasked to rehabilitate the scandal ridden Astros. And he did.

from the 2017 cheating champs edition? Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman. And Justin Verlander, I think. Anyone else?

The devil has stolen my soul.

(My trumper brother lives in West Chester. Between the Phillies and the Eagles he's been insufferable.)

5. I will never be able to root for the Trashtos

But they remind me of something Bill James said in an old Abstract - Never underestimate a team that feels it has something to prove.

In a way I'm glad I'm vacationing in a different time zone, a country that doesn't care about baseball, and an area without streaming services. Also, the world serious does not identify the best team in mlb. It identifies the team that is the hottest at the end of the season.

8. One could argue that the Trashtos are just as hot

In that case who would win? A team that has a 219 run differential in the regular season, or a team with a 62 run differential?

Mind you, I no not want the Trashtos to win, but they are favored for a reason.

It's the most uninteresting world serious in my lifetime!

If the NHL had any sense we could also have Flyers/Aeros.

As if it's scripted: The NFL has an Eagles/Texans TNF game during the week of the World Series between … Philadelphia and Houston:

Fri, 10/28: Game 1
Sat, 10/29: Game 2
Mon, 10/31: Game 3
Tue, 11/1: Game 4
Wed, 11/2: Game 5
Thu, 11/3: Eagles/Texans
Fri, 11/4: G6
Sat, 11/5: G7

NFL Eagles undefeated too.

The Eagles had a real good season last year and look to be as good or better this season.

Not a fan but do wish both teams well as they appear to be earning their way to the big games.
