1. It worked out for the best

The Bills ran out of time before getting into field goal range. They got a great free kick from the punter (about as good as a standard kick off). If the Bills had returned the punt to the Dolphins 30 (which was very likely given the short field he was kicking from), they probably would have scored a TD to win the game.

2. This was on the coach. Not enough room for a punt from that position on the field.

However, having said that, it did seem like the punter took much too much time before kicking it.

Definitely should have taken the safety. They won the game on his free kick.
