Wonder if any other teams will pick him up? He's 41. Hitting .198 this season with 5 dingers and 12 RBI.

(57,489 posts)No contest. It was when he was with the Cardinals though. The long contract he signed with the Angels was destined to end this way unless he retired as not many players in baseball maintain major league level production into their '40s.
Adios, Mr. Pujols. Your were one of the very best. I think he just passed Willie Mays on the home run list with his 661st.

(57,489 posts)Aaron, Ruth and Mays. IMO it's still that way, except I can put Pujols ahead of Mays as he recently passed Willie on the list. There were never any rumors of Pujols and steroids. And I think Jr. Griffey is next at 630, and no steroid talk either.
Bonds and A-Rod? Guess they're in a special category.

I love it when a plan comes together.
The Dodger fans are have really embraced Albert Pujols, and rightfully so.
I suspect some of the boys in the Anaheim Angels front office are taking some serious heat.
