I've gone and done it again

I have another book self-published using Amazon CreateSpace. I am furiously trying to get the Kindle version up and running, but of course, this is exactly when the 60 hour work week will soon go to seven days.

Anyhow, you can't get more exploitative or shameless than "The Santa Sanction", a satiric comedy which is stuffed(understatement) with just about everything from every genre- and some good old DU issue stances to attempt to mitigate this holiday turkey. So what's not to market? Except that is where I am fairly feckless.

I actually had my first non-family sale which is my real cause to celebrate.

I have not been offered an advance of 2 million dollars. I have not been advanced to go.

Maybe I should go back to ranting in General Discussion?

Congrats and good luck. Market away, and let us know details, okay?

Ranting in GD is great, but getting published is even greater.

Cheers!

create a page for the book on your Web site (you do have a Web site, right?) and put the buying links there, as well as synopsis, cover image, maybe a selection from the book.

I had a website Called(fittingly) "Realm of the Unread", very unbuilt and broken, which has long since vanished. I really have had all I can do just to write. The simplest practical marketing or online career enhancements take many more numbing hours. While I know they are worthwhile, even necessary in the real world....

I am not trying to be lazy or unprofessional, but as the link attempt above shows it is easier to simply look it up on Amazon with the cover, sample pages, etc. Whatever its practical worth, I spent some useless time trying to do a book video. Even the simplest things would have put off the seasonal publication another year(the one drawback of doing a shameless Xmas book). Formatting for the Kindle is my next goal before Thanksgiving rolls over me.

Thank you for your ideas.

I know how much time all of that stuff takes. It's draining.

Do you have a friend who could do the Web site for you?
