Prepare to have your mind blown: Jodorowsky’s Dune

A documentary about Alejandro Jodorowsky's unfilmed version of Frank Herbert's sci-fi classic premired at Cannes last year and will be released in the US this March. Was to star David Carradine, Mick Jagger, Salvador Dali (as the mad Emperor of the Galaxy), and Orson Wells. Set design by an unknown H.R. Giger.

It should have been a no brainer for me since his film "The Holy Mountain" was based on Rene Daumal's "Mount Analogue" which is where my user name comes from.

3. I saw El Topo in the 70's

I watched practically the entire movie with my hands over my eyes, peeking through my fingers; saying to my friend next to me, "Well, the worst is probably over." It is a very intense movie, I can't imagine what he did to Dune.

5. Well, that lets me out then. Can't do intense violence. Too much PTSD

I miss out on a lot of great movies.

It was a great movie and i've made quite a few of my friends watch it and they were all quite pleased as well.

Cannot recommend it enough!!

7. Weird, awesome & unimaginable all at the same time.

After seeing that, I can't help but wonder if Frank Herbert incorporated some of Jodorowsky’s ideas into the subsequent books.
