Bleached teeth smile at me
While dead words chew my soul
And their laughter blisters my ears

Mass death brings them to life
The text scrolling at the bottom of my screen
More real to me than the cadavers behind the desk

Feasting on carnage and inanity
I tune in with half a brain,
Waiting for some good news.
