They want it all
Every penny
Every bit of land
Every last drop of blood
Every last bead of sweat
Every last crumb of bread
Not like they need any of it
As they sit fat upon their piles of gold
Draining the wealth from all of us
Killing the hopes of the nation
Sucking away the promise
Of a better life for all
Maybe it’s time for the poison pill
Of disobedience
Resistance
As we leave the jobs
Forego the currency
And accept that death is better than living like this…
Is it possible to force their shriveled hands
To shovels, picks, and dirty land
Can we pull them from the corner office
Make them work to the dropping point
And then swing the whip against their backs
To dig yet another hole just to fill it in?

But do they have respect?
Does anyone truly love
