Joy

Blue sky…
Warm air…
Light breeze…
No fear…

All around is peaceful
Clear and bright
No clouds on the horizon
No fear in the heart

A celebration of the soul
Peace of mind
A steadfast calm
Holding fast to hope

So hard to attain in this fragile world
But when it’s held, more valuable than gold
The joy of the heart so elusive
In truth what we all desire

The diamond that is joy…
