1. A good bunch, except why in the world is Varvel's insulting cartoon

re: the Maine SoS included? Varvel is a right-winger whose cartoons have at various times been blatantly racist, misogyinistic and anti-Semitic; newspapers have had to apologize for them and the Toronto Sun refuses to publish them. He's one of the worst. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Varvel

2. To keep peace in the family I tossed it

Always thought he was kinda middle of the road leaning R myself, he's been nasty to some Rs.
I have posted him before but very seldom.

He's pretty extreme, even advertises himself as a conservative Christian. That particular cartoon was really insulting to the courageous Maine SoS, whom he depicted as a clown.

Dear KS:

I wish to thank you, as always, for your tireless retrieval and posting of cartoons. I wonder if you have thought that to keep us laughing, or at least chuckling grimly, contributes to our sanity in these weird times? The RC church used to talk about "corporal works of mercy," which would be taking grapes to somebody in the hospital, or food to the hungry. I think you are performing a psychological work of mercy to the mainly sane members of this board. Not to mention helping the toonaholics to function normally. You bless us, KS. And there will be no snap quiz on your selections. I'll take them all.
