(4,738 posts)Their whole job is to make us smile. Cats (I live with 3) they have many more duties. But dogs, they make me smile.

(2,234 posts)I cant remember if its a hunting or herding breed, but its from Hungary. There is also a smaller breed, the Puli, which also has a corded coat.

(25,920 posts)Komodor's are typically have white hair and cords. Puli's are mainly black in color. Both are 'Hungarian Sheep Dogs'.

(25,920 posts)They look like Jamaican Rastafarians because their hair naturally cords.
They are really smart dogs with sweet dispositions.
My 'Puli' passed away years ago - but she was the best dog I ever had.
Her natural instinct - because she was a sheepdog - was to go into a herding mode. When my two nephews played in my big back yard - her herding instinct when into full gear and she used to herd them into one of the corners of the yard.
She went everywhere with me and was always the topic of the conversation because most people never saw a 'Puli' before.
I really miss her - but have the fondest of memories.
Thank you for posting. You made my day!!!!!

(2,234 posts)Years ago, when I had a border collie, we used to have a Puli in our agility class. She was a lot of fun to train with.
