How can you tell the difference between a trump and Teddy Roosevelt?
So a few months ago, I had this idea.
Here we are, halfway -- we hope -- through a presidency of ignorance and hate, that’s attacking our country from within. We went from shock and disappointment in 2016 to fighting and winning in the 2018 midterms.
And yet many still believe the bluster and lies.
It would be useful to take the fool down a peg.
Fifteen years ago, columnist Dan Savage responded to the homophobia of a former senator by making his last name a common noun, with an undesirable definition. To this day, it still comes up first when you google the senator’s last name.
So ... a “trump” is someone who has some of the flaws of Donald Trump. For example:
* A fool who thinks he’s a genius.
* A narcissist who's just bad at everything.
* A conman who calls others corrupt.
These people are dangerous. But they’re also hilarious. They chose to join the Cult of Stupid. This is a group actually deserving of derogatory jokes.
And with that, I’d like to share a trump joke. If folks like it, more will follow.
