Question about buying books on Amazon.

I belong to Audible, but I love books I can hold in my hands as well. How can I tell if a book has pictures when reading the Amazon description?

I thought they used to have a place where it said “illustrated” or “pictures”?

Listening to “Grandma Gatewood’s Walk” on Audible right now, but would love to buy the book if it has pics. Fantastic book btw!

You could try reading the reviews and see if anyone mentions illustrations. You could also check the question section and see if anyone has asked that or you could ask it yourself.

Some do have a "look inside" feature on the top right hand corner of the pictured book. Lol, don't know if that helps you any.

there is usually a "Look inside" notation with an arrow pointing to the picture. Click on that, and there will often be a table of contents including a list of illustrations if there are any.

that's my fave way to buy books. it's an easy place to get autographed copies too.
i'm in a michael palin fb page, and found out there that ordering his books direct, you can asked for an autograph and an inscription.
i ordered a book of limericks. the funny thing is, there's a limit to the characters you can enter. for some reason mine didnt go through. i got an email asking me if i wanted an inscription. from a tom palin, his bro?
anyway, it wasnt so much i wanted a particular inscription as i wanted to tell a story. in an exchange on the page, after a long and hilarious thread, i had been awarded the badge of the spanish inquisition. i replied to the email, no longer limited, w a longer version of the story.
took a while to get the book, as it shipped form england.

but the inscription reads-
no one expects the badge of the spanish inquisition.

I'm still listening to the Audible version and so much in awe of this woman.

I've ordered a handful of books from there to be shipped to my niece and nephew, and selected my local brick and mortar book shop to receive the credit.

Very reasonably-priced used books and it takes only a few days from ordering them to receiving them.

Hi there, isn't there a Look into the Book section on Amazon? There you could check and tell if the book has illustrations or not...
