(1,534 posts)Actually I finished that yesterday and enjoyed it so much that I picked up the sequel this morning, but I didn't want anyone to start out with book two, "Ghost Country"; it's almost totally dependent on reading book one.
Slightly sci-fi in that it has one sci-fi element that sets the plot in motion, but the rest of the book is totally a high-speed tech thriller.
Highly recommend if you like either fast-paced thrillers or sci-fi (which I normally do not get into).
Merry Christmas!

(18,183 posts)The book deals with the assassination of Lincoln , Garfield and McKinley and it is chock full of quirky little anecdotes, obscure facts and little personal glimpses into Sarah ,who is pretty quirky herself
I love history and Sarah Vowell makes it fun

Enjoying it immensely. I asked for this book in my office Secret Santa but didn't get it, so I ordered it for myself. She's such a good, solid, funny writer. Love her novels, too.
