Any Stephanie Plum series fans

I know, I know, it's crappy literature, but it makes my laugh and it's a nice mindless break from teaching literature.

Anyway, just watched the newest Hot in Cleveland episode and it seemed to me like it was a statement that Bette White would have been a better Grandma than Debbie Reynolds (who I am sure I'm going to hate in the movie).

Anyway, thoughts or other Plum fans?

I keep saying I'm done. They go nowhere and just the same jokes.

But I read the next one anyway. Oh well, I could do worse things.

that's what keeps my attention, but it's getting a little boring as time goes on, I'll agree.

But I will go see the movie.... Anyone know when that is coming out?

Those books are my mind candy. Just funny reading.

The movie comes out January 27.

I think the writer diverted her attention to her other books.

But I will be seeing the movie. I like to see what they do with the movie as opposed to what I envisioned in my head. I will admit, so far I always like my own vision better.

Is it on tv?

I just read the 17th book; I saw it on the "new arrivals" shelf at the library and picked it up.

I'm way past tired of the trio. The longer she stumbles along, stringing along both men, the less I like her.

I don't go to see too many movies, so I don't hear about what's coming to the local theaters. About the only movies I go to are kid's films that my grandson is anxious to see. Anything else I see later when it's released to dvd, or not at all.

I wonder about casting; no real man could possibly be as hot as Ranger is described, and I'm betting that Stephanie won't come with pimples, jeans that are too tight because of her binges, or some of her other flaws. I'll have to go look it up.

but I googled a picture. He could pull it off, if he can exude that extreme magnetism in action that a photo doesn't catch.

An imperfect, REAL woman with impossibly hot men to choose from...no wonder the series keeps going.

I think that one of the reasons women like Stephanie Plum is her imperfections, which I don't think will show up on the big screen; at least, not her physical imperfections. Those make her somewhat real. The rest are unreal enough to drive the entire farce.

There are times that you just want to enjoy a book, knowing that you will not learn anything of value or have to think too hard. This is one of my favorites when I hit that wall.
