3. Addie Pray

by Joe David Brown.

The movie "Paper Moon" (1973) with Ryan O'Neal and Tatum O'Neal was based on it. So far, the movie is quite faithful to the book.

4. "The Sixth Man" by Baldacci

I just picked it up to start later....finished my last book and the library will not be open until Monday, so I dug through books that people have given me to donate or read. At least this will be a no-brainer kind of book.

17. I like his books.

Good page turners that are great for long plane flights. I like his Camel Club series.

18. Funny, some of us were in Barnes and Noble today

and the Camel Club series was suggested to me by one of my friends. I will have to try them.

5. Where'd You Go Bernadette

I love the book - funny and original. Much of the story is told thru email, voice mail and text.

7. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

It is advertised as a "young adult " book , and since I, as an old woman still like to keep up with things I decided to read it


and I am so glad that I did

It is about (among many other things) a young girl growing up in Nazi Germany, an accordian player who is much more than meets the eye, A young Jewish man with hair like feathers , and a sweet young boy who plays soccer, runs like the wind , and loves the girl with all of his heart.

I highly recommend this book, do not be put off by the fact that it is for "young adults. If you hate labels as much as I do just ignore them!

9. _The Case of the Missing Servant_ by Tarquin Hall

A first novel for Hall, although he has a number of non-fiction books out. Main character is Vish Puri, "India's most private investigator." Only a little way in but it's making me smile with the remembrance of sounds and sights and smells from times in India.

Listening: _Tripoint_ by CJ Cherryh. One of the merchanter novels, post-_Downbelow Station_.

10. Libriomancer, by Jim C Hines

Very well written. Very clever plot (those who work magic by pulling items out of books).

I highly recommend it.
