I just finished listening to TWELVE SHARP by Janet Evanovich. I have a question.

Mary, who went to work at Vinny’s bonding agency, seemed sort of “hinky” to Stephanie and Lula. Was she really a cop? What was the secret about her?

(I must’ve missed the part where the author revealed this. Could have been because some of the CD’s skipped, could’ve been my mind was wandering.)

I mean, the book book, not audiobook, ebook, etc.

It looks as if the author left that hanging. And she spelled the character's name "Meri."

i almost always read the first chapter or two and then read almost the end, .... not the end. but enough of the end to know what happens. (odd, i know, and i love it). with her series i read the first couple chapters, went to the end and i was left hanging. so went to the next book, read the first chapter then the end and on to the next book.... lol. was such a hoot.

she does leave things hanging.

but not in order. I get a laugh out of them, which of course is the author's intent.

I love her books but they are in the "mindless reading" rotation for me, so I honestly don't remember a lot of the specifics and they kind of all run together.
