Anyone read JAMES: A NOVEL by Percival Everett yet?

I'm on the Hold list for it at my library.

I have no plans to read it, but sounds like it will spark a new genre. I can hear the keyboards clacking already.

5. The villain retell has been around

For a very long time now. Grendel (Beowulf villain retell) came out in 1971, after all. One of the most popular villain retells has to be Wicked, a WIzard of Oz retell.

3. I'm on hold list too

As soon as I read about it I put it on hold. Sounds like an interesting read.

4. I saw this one in my March releases

And I wanted to read it, so badly. I love the original Huckleberry Finn, but, even in high school, I always thought Jim's side of the story would be much more fascinating.

Unfortunately, I forgot to check into the library site the day they got it. Dumb, dumb, dumb. The waiting list was already crazy when I did see about getting it--one of the downfalls of living in a large city. I've postponed the read for now. It's not going anywhere, after all.
