my purse size Kindle has died! Touch screen quit working

Without the touch screen a Kindle is useless.

I never though this one would be the first to go - always assumed it would be my first Fire which I bought in 2014. The one that just died was a plain black and white, no camera nothing extra except it connects to wireless.

Mr YD had a small Fire I gave him a few years ago and he wasn't using it so he gave it to me. It is also purse sized.

1. Oh, I feel for you. It's one of my main fears.

The only reason I don’t panic is that I have the Kindle app on my phone. Some things are too important to leave to chance.

2. I do too and on my laptop

I acquired a new Kindle a few weeks ago - a new Fire for a 50% reduction. Kindle does this from time to time on new models, you just have to watch I think I got it for $50

anyway it will fit in my purse but I will not carry it in my purse until I get a cover for it.

I got it because I thought the OLD Fire was dying, and it does not use a Micro for charging. It uses the same plug as our Android phones!! (also: it is pink!) I am very pleased that I went on and got it.

Just hated to lose this one because it did exactly what I needed in a purse sized e reader, without a bunch of other stuff.

3. Every thing these days

has to do lots of stuff. Useually at the expense of the thing you really want it for.
