(10,044 posts)Did I spell spellcheck wrong? I think they have it as 2 words, spell and check. But confusing to me is that spellchecker is one word. I suppose they mean a person, not a function...?
I prefer spellcheck, but who am I to argue with these geniuses?

(10,044 posts)That word "genius" always gives me spelling trouble. Even with spell check, I have a hard time believing them because of the way I pronounce it. Do most people say genyus, or do they say gen'i ous? I think the trouble is that I never learned how to pronounce it correctly...ya, that's it.

(18,161 posts)I always want to put an O in there.
And I want to put a U in among, for some reason.

(23,156 posts)maybe even from the very beginning.
Plus, if you misspell a word, you get a red underline (as I've already gotten about six times while typing this post) and so there's almost no excuse for bad spelling here.

(17,055 posts)We were without spell check here on DU3 from the beginning until about the end of March. I know that because like many others I really need it.
I don't know how you are getting a red underline when you spell incorrectly because I don't. But I sure wish I did. Maybe it depends on the browser one uses?

(10,044 posts)Little Star, I nevar get a rong speling red line either. IE8 is my browser....
I did not use spell check in this post, apparently, and no red lines appeared anywhere before or after posting...
