https://crimereads.com/millenial-cozies-a-new-generation-discovers-the-joys-of-the-cozy-mystery/Cozy mysteries are experiencing a revival as younger voices turn to writing (and reading) more of this charming genre.
One thing Ive noticed about cozy mysteries is thatfor those unfamiliar with this charming genrethey seem to have a bit of a reputation. Basically, older women snooping into crimes, possibly a knitting group, definitely a cat. But this isnt always the case. Well, except for the cat. Although really it can be any cute animal companion.
This misunderstanding makes sense. I mean, famed characters like Miss Marple and Jessica Fletcher arguably defined the genre. But its grown from their foundation, branching out to encompass so much more in terms of characters, themes, narration, and mystery elements.
Snip
Whether they star a younger amateur sleuth, take place somewhere wholly unique, showcase an unforgettable voice, or push the envelope in a different way, here are a few cozy mysteries that millennials will consume faster than avocado toast at brunch. (And now I want avocado toast).
More at link. Some really interesting cozies in this list!

Enjoy!

(11,862 posts)5. My mother signed me up for Nancy Drew
when I was 8, 9 got a book a month and read it cover to cover the day it arrived.
And I love Jessica and Ms Marple, and Peroit.
But never thought of them as cozy, but never heard of cozy till you.
I do audio, and love a murder mystery, and now that cozy is a genre I will never look back!
Thanks!

Yes, cozy is an official designation. No gore, graphic sex scenes, of general terror. Lol
Check the fiction forum fof other posts about cozies! I've posted a few myself in the past few weeks.
Oh, how I loved the Nancy Drew books! My only complaint was that they didn't crank them out quickly enough!
