Thoughts on Elizabeth George's "the punishment she deserves" No spoilers I think.

This is a story of 4 mothers. Actually there are 2 more. These women are what my wife calls spider women. They try to be in control of their children. The story starts out with an apparent suicide of a Church of England deacon. The truth has been woven into a twisted web of lies and misdirection. It takes a while for Barbara and Tommy to get together to work the case and they are so good in their investigations and interrogations.

I believe I should after reading this: Elizabeth George "is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed writers of our time. Both a page-turner and a deeply complex story about the lies we tell, the lies we believe, and the redemption we need, this novel will be remembered as one of George's best." Sounds irresistible to me. Thanks!
