ICWA to the rescue?

Kansas judge refuses to bow down after taking a Colorado family’s children.

Kind of surprised I hadn't heard about this Raymond Schwab case before now. I stumbled across this story somehow, and couldn't help but keep reading about the stupidity of this case.

In a nutshell: a father moved from Kansas to Colorado so he could try medical marijuana to treat his Iraq-war related PTSD, left his kids with mother-in-law back in Kansas, who reported his marijuana use to Kansas police; now a Kansas judge won't let him have his kids.

Down near the end, it reveals that the mother may get tribal help, thanks to ICWA.

Interesting story. It would be sad to see anyone lose their children over this. The Wielding Truth Jan 2016 #1
