Puerto Rican Action Committee of Southern New Jersey celebrates Three Kings Day

PENNS GROVE — Local families gathered to celebrate Hispanic culture and for children to receive gifts at the Puerto Rican Action Committee of Southern New Jersey’s annual Three Kings Day celebration here Thursday.

Over 600 children filled PRAC headquarters to celebrate the visit of the Three Kings.

Three Kings Day is a traditional Hispanic holiday when children are given small gifts by the “Three Kings,” as a symbol of the gifts the Wise Men brought to Jesus.

“It’s more than gifts. It’s about educating and celebrating your culture,” PRAC Executive Director David Rodriguez said. “It’s not just about gift giving, but the celebration of Three Kings.” ...
