There is a certain type of BOT and or Online Leftist Activist on Social Media that screamed at Black Women (the base) that we had to make concessions for the Senate Candidate in Maine who has a bad past and questionable optics.

Same people (that I'm seeing on Threads) are making accusations that Rep Crockett is an AIPAC devotee.

Not true.

These same people are running around calling Harris a Genocider and disrupting her life after they already rejected her.

We get it folks - you hate Harris and you hate Crockett enough to LIE about her being an AIPAC devotee.

You hate them. And when you hate them- you hate the collective Us.

So enough of a certain type of BOTactivist who give lip service to 'Black women' saving you.

This is why we are RESTING. Why we aren't at your protests. Why we aren't lifting a finger to help those communities that voted against the Black Woman VP to teach the Democratic Party a lesson. We see you. You aren't fooling us.

Bernard Sanders himself said "Primaries are healthy". That means Black women get to run against white Men and Black women are not going to eat your shit sandwiches. See -we're okay and taking care of our community in this environment. Shit - I can do this until the day I die. So if you want us to lift one finger to help democracy -

Don't attack our fellow Black women. The misogynyoir is strong. We see it. We will be calling out. Our grandmothers survived Jim Crow. We can survive 100 years of cockroach hell inflicted by the magapublicans. It's in our blood.

Stay out of Jasmine Crockett's way. The primary voters in Texas will make their decision. There's not seat to defend. There's no incumbent. If you support Andy Kim for Senate -

I think it's more of a moderate v progressive issue than a race issue. When have you ever heard the DNC say it believes it would be better to run a progressive than a moderate in a district or state? Democrats have way more women and people of color in Congress by far than Magats have.

I am well to the left, not a moderate. But she seems like a dem who could win in Tx. I saw her describe herself as a “gun owning democrat.”

Full disclosure: I am not American as my profile indicates - just an environmentalist. Wouldn’t want Elon attacking DU after his creepy Twitter was found to be full of bots or people based in SA etc.

But you guys do have an impact on the whole world. Besides while I am well to the left, I am scared enough of PRC and Russia that I feel that a sane America would be good for the rest of us.

The US has impacted me personally a good deal since I went to school there - that’s how I joined DU. I still have ties in the country though I wouldn’t want those doxxing Doge types to find me or them. I am not resigned to that whether it’s probable or not since it’s myopic these days to think that the poor attention span of the net will translate on a long enough timeline to victory for the GOP and its technofascist allies who are proving every day that giving them enough rope guarantees they will hang themselves.

I am certain that even if the arc of history doesn’t precisely bend to justice -not without work anyway-it cannot possibly bend to permanent acceptance of Trump Hegseth levels of inanity. How much collateral damage these creeps inflict is another matter. But well..pushback is the only option with bullies and fascists.

The creators of those bots (ie, Russia) uses bots of all political stripes. THe ones on Xitter amplify the right wing BS (and are accepted by RWers), and the ones on Threads are pushing the far left ideas, and in the same way that they work on Xitter, are accepted by people initially as real and rational, and then move to the extreme once folks are hooked. They can have 5 followers, or they can have 5000 followers, it just depends on how well they are operated. As always, the Russians pit both sides agasint the middle to divide and conquer. The best way to fight them is to not engage, hide their responses from eveeyone and then block the accounts.

This is not to say that there are no humans that are idiots, but a large percentage, probably 80% or more, are (as you say) Botactivists, who are there to create dissent.

5. I have noticed that not only attacks on dems but on dems overall.

How they are weak and feeble and it is their fault for losing the election and they will probably lose again in 2028. It is even seeping into our news feeds in Canada over the past month or two. I think there is a coordinated effort to weaken the dems and not have the voters show up to elections. Unfortunately there are people on this forum that are advancing these stories; it seems without even realizing what they are doing. Every time there is an unfavourable story on a dem, all past grievances are again brought up. It is one reason I have stepped back, people cannot see the forest for the trees and cannot understand how much they are hurting their own causes.
