Related: About this forumWow. I just got another follow up call from Oak Street, from someone even higher up
After hours, too. She stayed late to call me. It's nice to know that they take these issues so seriously.
Hopefully my next appointment will be far less stressful.

(18,845 posts)It's great to know you have that kind of support for the process of finding alternatves if Oak St. does not work out.
I feel very fortunate that my husband and I were lucky enough to stumble on a great family practice provider when we first moved to this area back in 1994. It really was sheer dumb luck. Shortly after we got here, I needed to see someone about something (I don't remember what), and blindly picked this practice out of the list of providers in our insurance network. We hit the jackpot and have never needed to look farther for our basic health care. I wish i could clone this doctor and his team of APNs for you, because they are fabulous. I hope you can find someone you are this happy with - fingers crossed! 🤞

(27,319 posts)I just need a little more time to shake off the anxiety and 'get a grip' so I'm aiming towards avoiding as much stress as possible. And I'd like advice from Henry about how I should approach this next appointment.
Also I really didn't want to see this woman just 2 days after she is 'talked to' about how she interacted with me. I think a little time and distance will do us both good.
