Lower than Doggie Doo

In the wake of the latest political circus in Washington a respected North Carolina polling organization – Public Policy Polling – has discovered that Americans approve of doggie doo more than they approve of Congress.

Congress worked hard to earn this distinction, falling even lower in favor among voters than hemorrhoids, witches, Wall Street, toenail fungus and cockroaches.

The results of the nationwide poll by the Raleigh, NC, research group showed that 47 percent preferred dog poop while only 40 percent preferred Congress when asked to make a choice between the two.

That they would even consider responding to such a comparison says a lot about how low the esteem of our political leadership has fallen in this country.
