I wanted to share this with you since you have previously indicated you aren't big on online banking and such. For the first time, I did a mobile deposit on my cell phone. Took me about 40 minutes to get the front and back pictures of the check right. Every time I took the pictures, underneath the checks it said "Retake." Of course I thought that meant that I needed to "retake" the pictures. Finally I figured out that is NOT what was meant. Guess they were just giving me an option in case I didn't like the pics?
I'm nothing if not obedient. They say "retake," and I spend 40 minutes "retaking." All's well that ends well, I guess.

(7,962 posts)after you submit the pictures it might tell you that it failed and you have to redo it. Typically this happens when the check is not lit correctly like if you have a shadow over it or if it's washed out or out of focus.
Of course in your case it was before submission so it's just to give you a chance to take a better picture if you notice a problem.
